Over the past month, we’ve learned that President Donald Trump and his underlings asked the Ukrainians to investigate political rival Joe Biden and the news cycle hasn’t been kind to the president. Now a 2016 video of Vice President Mike Pence saying that “foreign governments cannot participate in the American political process” is going viral after Trump appears to have wanted just that.
During the 2016 Veep debate with Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), Pence said, “This is basic stuff: foreign donors — and certainly foreign governments — cannot participate in the American political process.”
That clip has earned over 800,000 views since it was posted on Friday morning.

Trump is in hot, and possibly impeachable, waters after he told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, “I would like you to do us a favor, though,” and asked him to investigate Joe Biden.
Recently released text messages show Bill Taylor, who was the top American diplomat to the Ukrainians, saying to another Trump associate, “Are we now saying that security assistance and WH meeting are conditioned on investigations?” Democrats say that this is proof that the Trump team was asking Ukraine to investigate Trump’s rival.
Trump has flailed madly about on Twitter over the past few days, insisting on Friday morning that he has “an obligation to end CORRUPTION, even if that means requesting the help of a foreign country or countries.”
Meanwhile, Democrats have slowly trudged toward impeachment, holding hearings and subpoenaing Trump associates who they believe might have information on the president’s requests of Ukraine.
I want all of the other improperly siloed communications released, too. There’s dirt in them, otherwise they never would have been hidden there.
